The Twin Cities Division’s “Hands on” Share Your Skills Day

This event is for all modelers – new and experienced – and everyone in between. Please join us and share a skill, as we make something, try something, do something – getting our hands dirty in the process, or at least have a better understand on how to do a skill.
TCD/NMRA Members are free, $10 for Non-Members paid at door (to help cover the cost of the materials)
The following are the current planned skills:
Skill #1 Painting miniature figures and details for your Railroad. Bring your favorite people, animals or details and get great hands-on tips on how to finish them.
Skill #2 Tuning up your rolling stock for better operations. Bring your favorite rolling stock pieces and tune up the trucks, check coupler height and recommended weight
Skill #3 JMRI DCC tune up station. Let’s check out your motive power for correct CV’s, horn and bell. Warning, loud bells might be tuned down.
Skill #4 Weather scrum. There are a number of excellent ways to weather your rolling stock. Bring some cars you would like to weather and see how experienced modelers do their weathering. Please have the cars you would like to weather sprayed with dull-cote as factory weathered cars will not weather well.
(We are looking for people to help man a table. You do not need to be an expert at the subject. Just help facilitate those folks at the table share the skill(s) they know.
