The Missabe Valley is an N Scale layout that runs from the Missabe Junction Yard and Ore Dock in Duluth, Minnesota, to the Rocheleau Crusher and Virginia, in northern Minnesota. It is a transition era layout based on the Missabe Division of the Duluth Missabe and Iron Range Railway (DM&IR).

The Missabe Valley is an 11 x 23-foot walk-around (walk-in) style layout, with no duck-unders. It is a folded dog-bone – with a Loads-in / Empties-out configuration creating an end-to-end layout (“rock to dock”).

The Missabe Valley moves Ore from the Rocheleau Crusher to Proctor Yard, and then on to the Ore Dock. Empty Ore Cars are continually cycled from the Ore Dock back to the Crusher.

The Missabe Valley moves commodity freight from an interchange with the Northern Pacific, to customers around the Missabe Valley system.
