Join the Twin Cities Division of the TLR of the NMRA for our annual Modeler’s Meet. This year the event is virtual.

12:00: The room will be open for social and sharing.

1:00: Clark Propst presents

Karlberg, A Generic Grainger Town

Fresh from the pages of this month’s Model Railroader, Clark will share with us how he created the town of Karlberg for his model railroad. Creating a Grainger town requires a great deal of research and insight into how these towns were platted and how they grew with the development of the countryside surrounding them.

2:00: Colin ’t Hart presents

Modeling the Milwaukee Road’s I&M Elevator District in 1975 … in Sweden

(Remotely researching a prototype for which no* photos exist online)

Researching your Model Railroad is always a challenge. Researching your model railroad in an era with few photo references and from half a world away. Now that is really a challenge. Join Collin on his search and if you have material he will find helpful feel free to share.

2:30: MODELERS MEET MODEL DISPLAY!

You are the star!

3:00: Steve Geibe

Touring the North Metro Model Railroad Club and Layout

Steve will bring us on a video tour of the North Metro Model Railroad Club’s beautiful layout. He and fellow members of the Club will then update us on the many great activities the Club does to help teach new modelers the tools and techniques of the hobby and then apply these to building a world class layout. The North Metro club is a 100% NMRA Club so this is another great benefit of NMRA membership.

4:00: Ken Zieska

Operations on the Northern Pacific 27th St. F Line

Join us as we railfan a day’s work on the S Scale Northern Pacific 27th St. F Line. You will not need a hard hat however do not cross the tracks while a train is moving in your vicinity.

Remember to register for each day. The March 12th portion of this meeting requires it’s own registration.
